SC2 Strategies – Zerg Strategy for Starcraft II

SC2 Strategies – Zerg Strategy for Starcraft II

We are going to go over some zerg strategies that can potentially help you eliminate your enemy and up your ranking in online play!

So here is some nice zerg strategy that you can follow in order to help you win the game.

The Easiest of Strategies – The Zergling Rush
As you probably know, the zergling rush is probably the easiest one to pull off out of all of them. All you need to do is to perform the zergling rush and it will definitely help if your opponent is a Protoss or a Zerg.

The reasoning behind this is simply that Terrans have the unique ability to easily wall off their base from early attacks simply by setting up their barracks and their marines will fend off your early zergling rush by using their ranged rifle.

6 Supply Spawning Pool Rush
So this is what you want to do.

You want to simply not develop any new drones when you start and you want to aim directly for the spawning pool. It is highly effective in 1v1 play and very easy to execute, all you have to do is to get your drones ready and begin harvesting minerals.

Once you hit about 200 minerals, you want to make a spawning pool and build a couple of drones and even an overlord. As soon as their ready you want to queue 3 larva and spawn them into 6 zerglings.

This is very effective in maps that have short distances between the opponents.

The thing wrong with this strategy is that it can prove fatal to your winning efforts if you do not succeed. It’s a big gamble, and in this day and age, most Starcraft 2 players are always prepared for some type of zergling rush.

9 Pool Rush MayBe Better

You also want to make sure that you are hatching a queen so that you can produce more zerglings because it has a spawn larva ability.

You want to make sure that you are making a spawn pool at 9/10 supplies, so you can build up more drones and try to mine some more. This is great because you can build more zerglings and actually help strengthen your base with queens.

It’s not as fast, but with the queen you’ll be able to create more zerglings with the queen spawn larva ability, you’ll be able to send much more zerglings in your initial wave which can render your opponent useless
